Friday, February 7th- SBA Hour with Veterans webinar (1 to 2pm)
Summary: Webinar hosted by veteran liaisons from SBA Pittsburgh and Philadelphia district offices that explain programs, initiatives, and resources available to veterans and military community who are interested in starting a small business or assistance for existing small businesses.
Thursday, March 13th- How to obtain surplus property for veteran owned small businesses in PA webinar hosted by SBA Pittsburgh (10 to 11 am)
Summary: Learn how veteran and service-disabled veteran owned small business can obtain surplus property and resources in PA for their small business.
Wednesday and Thursday, March 5 and 6- Boots to Business Reboot virtual session hosted by the VBOC at Penn State University, (5:30 pm to 8:00 pm)
Summary: Boots to Business Reboot brings the Boots to Business curriculum off of the installation, extending access to this free, virtual workshop to veterans of all eras, Active Duty Service members (including National Guard and Reserve) and military spouses. Boots to Business is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration as part of the Department of Defense Transition Assistance Program (TAP). This course provides an overview of entrepreneurship and applicable business fundamentals. You can review the attached fact sheet for additional information. This event is also open to the public and is recommended for those who are start a business or been in business two years or less.
Reboot courses are offered by SBA district offices and our resource partners across the country in either one- or two-day format (in-person or online). Registration is required. You are welcome to take a course that best fits your schedule. Participants who complete this course are eligible for Revenue Readiness, a six-week virtual classroom program that prepares participants to take their business idea from concept to an executable business model in a short timeframe.
